Author Bio
Cliff Hakim has walked in many different shoes, as a teacher, writer, counselor and executive coach, and artisan/entrepreneur. Throughout he has helped people see who they are.
As author of the business bestseller, We Are All Self-Employed, he showed people how to take control of their jobs and careers, under any market conditions and at any stage of life. He has also published When You Lose Your Job, Rethinking Work, and Life’s Too Short to Drink Cheap Wine. As the founder of an artisan business called Inspired Stones, he has designed memorials that tell a loved one’s story, using natural stone and reclaimed wood. He is now experimenting with pen, brush, and ink. Cliff began drawing shoes in 2018. Their soulful message, a raft of societal problems, plus his personal call to action, inspired him to create this book about empathy and compassion. A collection of stories about ordinary people walking in others’ shoes, and about compassionate leaders, he encourages all of us to open our eyes to the lives and views of others as we learn to walk in the shoes of others. Cliff’s new book has opened many doors. For example, he has recently joined the start-up Leap Chat as advisor, facilitator, and innovator. Leap Chat hosts meaningful conversations in small groups, powered by your passions. As health and safety concerns in our culture allow, Cliff engages audiences, on site, with Walk in My Shoes conversations and presentations focused on kindness to the self and to the other. Cliff is open to interviews. Click on images below to enlarge.DownloadsAuthor Photo (High resolution. Lo-res)
